Important Notice: Temporary Suspension of Slovakia Visa Applications
Dear Applicants,
Please be advised that the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Pretoria will temporarily suspend visa processing during August 2026. As a result, BLS International in Pretoria and Cape Town VACs will not be accepting new Slovakia visa applications from 24 July 2026 to 31 August 2026.
Submission of Slovakia visa applications will resume on 01 September 2026.

Temporary Closure of Visa Application Centres – 30 June
2026
Dear Applicants,
Please be informed that all BLS Visa Application Centres (VACs) in South Africa (Durban, Cape
Town & Pretoria) will remain closed on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, due to the planned national
shutdown, which is expected to impact public movement and safety across the country.
What this means for applicants
- Applicants with appointments scheduled on 30 June 2026 will be permitted to submit their
applications without an appointment (walk-in basis) on 01, 02, and 03 July 2026.
- Applicants are advised to visit the VAC on any of the above dates at their convenience
during standard operating hours.
- We encourage all applicants to monitor our website and official communication channels for
any further updates.
Resumption of services
Normal VAC operations are expected to resume on Wednesday, 01 July 2026, subject to
prevailing conditions.
